June – The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Synopsis
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.
Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

Carlene,
I just posted July’s book so should be ready to go shopping, or to the library or whatever. Did you finish Maze Runner yet? I am planning on finishing in the next couple of days, I’m liking it so far. What do you think of it?

I HAVE read this book and I liked it, and I will write a review about it… but I think I might wait for someone else to go first… we’ll see.

yay ok, I am excited about this book. I didn’t know that this would be a series and I am kinda glad I didn’t know this.
It was so hard to start out not getting any answers, it was so frustrating, but enjoyable? does that work? I kind of hate the whole end of the world type stories and I was worried at the beginning that was the deal with this story, but then there were so many other things happening that I didn’t have a chance to think on it very long.
It was scary in all the right places, It was delightful in the way that the characters were civilized, but still teenage boys. There was order among chaos and that in my mind was both remarkable and believable.
I like the little glimpses the author allowed us into the story that was unravelling, just a bit at a time, it worked well and kept me excited to find out more. I felt like I couldn’t read it fast enough.
The main character wasn’t actually my favorite of all the characters, I would like to have known more about Minho. I liked him. I can’t wait for the next book, I have so many questions I want answered that were only half answered in this book.
I am excitd to read some more. And I just want to talk to everyone about this book.
I have love

Im glad everyone liked the book so far..I was kinda unsure just because I read it fast and only because Larry had picked it up for me so I was being nice
But funny thing I was at Borders the other day and there was a table that was dedicated to if you liked the Hungar Games then you’d like these books blabla and this book was on it as well at the mortal instrument series so i thought that was cool..
anyways I liked how in the beginning hes in the box and how he doesnt know anything but its SO frustrating and annoying how you know nothing as your reading and like heather said its kinda good to because you have to read on.
I didnt know it was going to be a series though I dunno how i missed that I was pregnant at the time when I read it and lets face it Im kinda retarded at times..I mean Hello in Twilight I didnt even know Jacob was an Indian until terrie told me.
I didnt like the main character at first because he was pushing and just didnt want to do what everyone was telling him but he grows on me.
